My Story

Welcome to Claws N Paws Pet Nanny, where your pets are treated like our own. My name is Crystal Barlow, and animals have always been my passion. My animal care journey began in 2006 when I attended an animal technology class for four years. Since then, I have dedicated my life to caring for pets in the most loving and attentive manner possible. I founded Claws N Paws Pet Nanny to help ensure pet parents that their pets are in good hands. When you entrust your furry friends to us, they will receive the best care and attention possible, whether you need help daily, weekly, or just need a vacation. I have worked in veterinary offices, animal shelters, dog groomers, and doggie daycares for 15+ years. No matter what your animals age or medical needs may be- Claws N Paws Pet Nanny is here to help! Experienced with giving medications, you can rest easy leaving your older, sick or special needs companion in my care.

I am passionate about helping animals in need, and work with Vegas Friends of Guinea Pig Rescue as a foster/volunteer. I hope to open my own animal rescue and rehabilitation in the future. For now, I am taking classes to become a Certified Dog Trainer, as well as classes to learn pet massage. I am constantly striving to better myself in order to further help my animal friends.

Miss Hippo

Miss Hippo is a very special Skinny Pig. She came into my life and ignited a passion for guinea pigs. Stubborn, sassy, and a loner for most of her life by choice. When she finally did accept friends, they loved each other so much. She spent the last 6 months of her life surrounded by guinea pig friends who groomed and protected her. Miss Hippo lived to be about 3 years old before she passed from cancer in January 2024. She will forever be loved and never forgotten.

                   Her motto-

   wheek. eat. sleep. poop. repeat.

Shilo

Shilo has been with me his whole life. I was working at a doggy daycare and a man brought us a 4-month-old Border Collie he needed help with. Well, Shilo and I both fell in love and spent every day together, and always had the best time. By 6 months old, his owner decided he was too much for him, and I instantly said I would take him. He is the most loyal, goofy, loving dog in the world. He is obsessed with balls and loves to herd his human kids when they run in the house.

                     His motto-

                    "Ball is life"

Milo

Milo is my 3 legged Chihuahua! I adopted him about a month after his leg was amputated due to nerve damage. He was about a year and a half old. He is the biggest cuddle bug and will yell at you until you pick him up and love on him. When he isn't demanding love, Milo likes to protect his human kids, nap in the sun, and play with his big brother, Shilo.

                  His motto-

         "Let sleeping dogs lie"
